How to care for a pierce: For External Pierces (On the surface of the skin): We recommend to use Ivory bar soap to clean your pierce because it is free of colors, deodorants, perfumes and moisturizers. At the end of every shower and/or when your done washing your face, lather up the piercing with the Ivory soap. Move the jewelry back and forth so the soap penetrates the piercing. Rinse the soap out of the piercing by running water over it and moving the jewelry back and forth again. This process should be done at least 2 or 3 times in every shower and/or whenever you wash your face (depending upon the pierce) for the time specified by the chart below. It is normal for the piercing to secrete fluid that will dry and build up on the jewelry. This is your body's way of healing and is NOT a sign of infection. This build up (called exudate) must be removed prior to cleaning the pierce. The most effective way to remove this build up is with Hydrogen Peroxide. Soak a cotton ball or Q-tip in hydrogen peroxide and clean the JEWLERY (not the pierce) and remove the exudate. Hydrogen Peroxide is quite strong and may burn your skin and bleach your hair if left on the pierce, so wash it off immediately after use. If your jewelry is clean and free of any build up, then there is no need to use the peroxide. Other than these instructions you have NO NEED TO TOUCH THE PIERCE! § Prince Albert, Clitoral
