How to care for a pierce:

For Oral Piercings (In and around the mouth):

Rinse with Listerine Antiseptic Mouthwash (or any other antiseptic mouthwash), 1/2 Listerine, 1/2 water, after eating, smoking, drinking anything other than bottled water, or any other mouth
activities for the amount of time specified below.  Gly Oxide may also be used a few times per day. Lip, labret, monroe, medusa and cheek piercings may secrete a fluid that will dry onto the jewelry.  If this occurs take a cotton swab dipped into Hydrogen Peroxide and remove the accumulation.  Rinse off this solution as soon as all accumulations have been removed.  During the first few days, swelling of the pierced area is normal.  Use ice directly on the pierce and/or take Advil or Ibuprofen (anti-inflammatory drugs) which also helps alleviate any pain.  Cold chamomile tea is also soothing.  Avoid eating or or spicy foods, using straws and hard or chewy food.  After the swelling has subsided return to normal eating habits.

§ Tongue, Lip, Labret, Scrimper, Cheek   3-4 weeks

These healing times are approximate and are contingent upon the above after care being done properly.
